THE ITALIAN SEISMIC BULLETIN
The “Italian Seismic Bulletin”, is
part of
ISIDe, the Italian Seismic Instrumental and parametric
Data-basE.
It will include in a close future earthquake parameters obtained merging quasi-real
time location data with the Italian
Seismic Bulletin. Our intention is
to provide the best revised information about the Italian very recent
seismicity, as soon as it is available, together with
up-to-date knowledge about the past seismicity.

This catalogue will include:
-
Revised Quasi-Real-Time Locations,
-
the Seismic Bulletin (since April 16th 2005),
-
the Seismic Bulletin (before April 16th 2005).
Currently we publish only the Italian Seismic Bulletin (ii)
since April 16th 2005. Next steps will be, in this
order, the publication of quasi-real-time information (i) and of the seismic bulletin before April 16th 2005(iii).
Revised Quasi-Real-Time Locations:
-
this knowledge comes from the Italian National Seismic Sourveillance:
an advanced real-time system for seismic data analysis operated by the Centro
Nazionale Terremoti (INGV), in Roma, gives a first location
of any italian earthquake, of magnitude ML 1.8 and above, within 40
seconds from its origin time, and a definitive location within 5
minutes. Although ISIDe records all the events detected by the Italian
National Seismic Network, we publish only the list of locations revised
by the Seismologist which is in charge for the seismic surveillance
activity when the earthquake occurs. This localization is the best evaluation
of the hypocenter parameters, available at the moment of its publication,
but it is subject to change anytime after further analysis. This list includes all the
earthquakes of magnitude ML 2.5 and above.
The Seismic Bulletin (since April 16th 2005):
-
this Bulletin reports the parameters of Italian
earthquakes registered by the Italian National Seismic Network,
as revised by the analysts of the Centro Dati e Informazione
sui Terremoti (INGV-CNT). The Italian Seismic Bulletin is a
semimonthly publication since January 2002, to be found in:
http://legacy.ingv.it/~roma/reti/rms/bollettino/index.php.
Since April 16th 2005 we produce the Italian Seismic Bulletin
revising data from the entire Italian National Seismic Network
that includes today more than 160 three component stations and about 70 vertical stations.
The Seismic Bulletin (before April 16th 2005):
-
Before April 16th 2005 we used to produce the Italian Seismic
Bulletin revising data from the analog Italian National Seismic Network
that included at the moment of its maximum extent about 100 vertical stations.
